【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstrack-resistantblackthermoplastichigh-densitypolyethyleneinsulation.Beforeapplicationtotheconductor,theinsulationshallcomplywiththerequirementsofSpecificationD1248,TypeIII,ClassC,Category5,GradeE10,J4,orJ5.TherequirementsofSpecificationD1248shallnotapplytotheinsulationremovedfromtheconductor.1.2Thistypeofinsulationisconsideredsuitableforuseonwireorcablethatwillbeusedforcontinuousoperationatconductortemperaturesupto75176;C.1.3Thisinsulationissuitableforuseonwireorincableusedforpowertransmissioninoverheadspaced-lineservice,installedattemperaturesabove25Candexposedtosunlightandotheratmosphericenvironmentsbetween55and+75C.1.4Inmanyinstances,theinsulationcannotbetestedunlessithasbeenformedaroundaconductor.Therefore,testsdoneoninsulatedwireinthisstandardaresolelytodeterminetherelevantpropertyoftheinsulationandnottotesttheconductororcompletedcable.1.5Whenevertwosetsofvaluesarepresented,indifferentunits,thevaluesinthefirstsetarethestandard,whilethoseinparenthesesareforinformationonly.
